Description: Early 20th Century 2 Part Japanese Kiri Tansu Dresser. A fine two part Japanese tansu chest in cypress and kiriwood. Three large drawers, and a single fitted small drawer with two small accessory drawers. All adorned with decorative hardware and metal bound corners for campaign style stacking. The side handles lock the two pieces together once in place. The tansu probably dates to the early 20th century and is in good overall condition, with some edge losses, surface scratches, and wear commensurate with age and use.
